Outreach from Shahid Buttar, Grassroots Activist Running for Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s Seat in San Francisco

May 25, 2018 • by DailyClout

Other candidates from SF and across the country: send DailyClout similar ways for citizens to participate and we will get the word out on all of our platforms!

DailyClout readers, here’s Team Shahid’s letter to you:

Dear Friends,

We’re in the home stretch! The June 5th primary is just 12 days away. (Yes, we are counting.)

It’s been a busy week and every day is growing busier as election day draws near.

Last week, Shahid spoke on cable TV with Redacted Tonight’s Lee Camp. His interview took on Pentagon spending, our constitutional crisis, and how the bipartisan establishment has paved the way for Trump’s election and his criminal administration. Shahid also explained how he plans to secure Medicare for All and affordable housing for urban centers across the country.

Coming up this week:

Tonight, we’re hosting an online fireside chat with Shahid at 6:00pm to talk about the fundamental issues of this race, like health care, affordable housing, and how federal policy could better serve you, your family, and your community. Want to hear Shahid discuss why San Francisco deserves better representation in Congress, or introduce him to friends? Join us tonight at 6pm, and bring your friends.

Tomorrow, join us for a fun party and inspiring rally at Brick & Mortar Music Hall! Bring your friends and colleagues to meet Shahid, and support a progressive advocate who will use his voice for all of us! Doors open at 6:00, event starts at 7:00 with live music, spoken word and more, followed by a dance party with DJs including Shahid and surprise guests. There will be a $12 suggested donation, with no one turned away for lack of funds. Wear your ShahidForChange t-shirt (available to all volunteers) and get in FREE!

Drop off flyers to get the word out! We’re making sure that everyone across key neighborhoods knows about our campaign by leaving flyers on every door. This is a great way to help the campaign and takes just a few hours.

Donate to power us through the finish line! We’ve taken the No $PAC$ Pledge, which means we’re funded solely through your individual support of our collective vision for a more equitable future. We’ve reached thousands of voters by distributing campaign literature, canvassing at events, and leveraging social media. But to maximize our momentum heading into the primary, we are asking everyone to dig deep and make a contribution. Can you chip in to enable our grassroots campaign to fully leverage our volunteer support?

Help us get the word out online! Follow our campaign on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see—and share—our campaign’s latest updates. And if you want to help coordinate with other supporters to amplify our voice online, join our Virtual Street Team on Facebook or reply to this email to connect with the Twitter and Instagram teams.

Thank you for supporting Shahid for Congress. The amazing backing we’ve gotten from community leaders, grassroots organizations and people like you reflects Shahid’s experience, and our shared vision. In just 12 days we hope to move on to the next phase of this campaign – the general election.

See you soon!

Team Shahid
