Armed with $240,000 and an agenda, the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) has launched the “Vaccine Integrity Project,” claiming it will safeguard vaccine use amid “misinformation.” In reality, it looks more like another effort to prop up a crumbling public health narrative — just as more Americans are waking up to years of deception.
Funded by Walmart heiress Christy Walton’s iAlumbra Foundation, the project is already signaling that it will work hand-in-glove with entrenched establishment figures like former FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg and Harvey Fineberg of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. These are not neutral arbiters. They are career bureaucrats deeply invested in the pharmaceutical-industrial complex — the very machine that steamrolled dissent during COVID-19 and profited handsomely from rushed, experimental injections.
Rather than honestly addressing why vaccine trust is collapsing, CIDRAP and its eight-member steering committee are circling the wagons. They frame the erosion of public confidence not as a rational response to government and corporate failures — but as a “misinformation” problem to be corrected. Their aim is not to reckon with reality, but to reestablish control over the narrative.
Director Michael Osterholm admitted as much, saying the Vaccine Integrity Project is being created because the old system for evaluating vaccines “faces threats.” Threats from whom? From independent researchers? From families who have seen adverse reactions firsthand? From policymakers like new HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who dares to revisit suppressed concerns like the vaccine-autism connection? If asking questions is a “threat,” what does that say about the integrity of the science they claim to defend?
Adding to the alarm, CIDRAP boasts that it will work outside of government channels — meaning it can push recommendations without accountability to the public. Under the guise of independence, it is crafting a new vehicle to pressure pharmacies, insurers, healthcare systems, and medical associations into compliance, even as legitimate skepticism grows over products like the COVID-19 mRNA shots.
The timing of this initiative is no accident. After mass layoffs at federal health agencies, after RFK Jr.’s endorsement of selective vaccines like MMR (while questioning others), and after new leadership at the NIH expressed doubts about COVID-19 shots, the old guard is desperate. They are losing the hearts and minds of the American people — and instead of earning trust through transparency, they are launching yet another project to tell you what you’re allowed to think.
Meanwhile, in places like Minnesota, lawmakers are finally confronting the risks head-on. A bill introduced this week would designate mRNA COVID-19 vaccines as “weapons of mass destruction” — language that, while dramatic, reflects a growing anger over how these products were rolled out and mandated without sufficient long-term testing.
The “Vaccine Integrity Project” is not about integrity at all. It’s about salvaging the power and prestige of a system that betrayed public trust — and doing it with private money, free from the few remaining checks and balances that government oversight provides.
Americans deserve real answers, not another PR campaign disguised as science.
