Report 55: Is Pfizer Trustworthy? – The Company Has a Long History of Legal Fines, Penalties, and Serious Violations.

Should anyone trust Pfizer? Pfizer has a history of very large regulatory fines and penalties, as well as litigation settlements. Pfizer’s serious violations generally fall into six categories:

1. Safety-related offenses
2. Drug or medical equipment safety
3. The False Claims Act
4. Illegal off-label or unapproved promotion
5. Kickbacks and bribery
6. Inflating wholesale prices to set Medicaid rates

Pfizer has the largest criminal and civil penalty in U.S. history – over $2.3 billion for illegal off-label or unapproved promotion of medical products. Additionally, Pfizer has a history of acquiring companies like Wyeth and American Home Products that have had similar fines and penalties.

Since 2002, Pfizer, including two acquired companies, has the six largest U.S. penalty amounts – ranging from $490 million to $2.3 billion. This does not include the American Home Products drug and medical equipment safety violation due to fen-phen, which was  a $3.75 billion multi-litigation settlement.

Pfizer is currently promoting its COVID-19 mRNA product to low-income countries, selling the product at cost. Unfortunately, Pfizer has a history of conducting an illegal trial, one in Nigeria for the meningitis drug Trovan led to the death of eleven children and many more suffered blindness, deafness, and brain damage. Pfizer settled for only $75 million.

Moderna, the other major COVID mRNA “vaccine” provider, is suing Pfizer and BioNTech, Pfizer’s partner, for patent infringement.
