Letter: To Prime Minister Sunak
Dear DailyClout,
This is a letter written to Prime Minister Sunak in January 2023.
We, a group of Jewish medical scientists, physicians, researchers, and legal scholars from Israel, the UK and
other countries would like to express our dismay at the decision to suspend the Member of Parliament
Mr. Andrew Bridgen as a Conservative MP due in part to what you claim was an “antisemitic” tweet that
he made in relation to the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out.
In the UK alone, since the roll-out of the BioNTech-Pfizer mRNA vaccine, there have been almost half a
million Yellow Card reports of adverse events from the public. This is more than all the yellow card
reports for all medications for the past 40 years combined and we also point out that reports to the Yellow Card
system are known to underestimate the true number of events by about 80-90% meaning that the actual impact of
these new injections is unimaginably high! This adds to the growing incidence of reports of death and other side
effects that are beyond mild, which have been reported in many countries across the world. The data for other
COVID-19 vaccines is equally concerning.
Mr. Bridgen tweeted that “One consultant cardiologist said to me this [the vaccine roll-out] is the biggest
crime against humanity since the holocaust.” Aside from the fact that Mr. Bridgen was clearly reporting the words
of someone else, the word “since” does not in any case imply equivalence to the events of the Holocaust; for that
and other reasons the tweet is clearly not antisemitic. In fact, to fear or refrain from ever comparing anything to the
Holocaust (either larger or smaller) is to ignore the societal and historical impact of this horrific crime. We hold
that in fact it is wholly appropriate, necessary even, to compare societal misfortune to The Holocaust when it’s as
large as that associated with the COVID-19 vaccinations thereby cementing the Holocaust’s terrific status for our
world and confirming its infamy as a massive crime against all of Humanity.
Sadly, it seems that you and others have seized upon the opportunity to raise the issue of antisemitism in
order to limit the free speech of those who raise legitimate concerns about the efficacy and safety of these Covid
vaccines and, needless to say, their mandating or coercion, which breached many well-established ethical norms.
Ethical norms, we also add, that were established as the Nuremberg Code which was created as a direct
consequence of the Holocaust. In this regard, we also hold that the implementation and forced use of the
experimental vaccinations broke all 10 tenets of this code! The usage of the antisemitism slur has all of the
hallmarks of rank political opportunism, which in fact makes those rendering the charges of antisemitism against
Mr. Bridgen are the ones who are actually being disrespectful to those who died and suffered during the Holocaust!
Moreover, the weaponization of the important issue of antisemitism for these purposes, not even in relation to
the Holocaust quite frankly, is particularly objectionable and disrespectful towards its victims.
Limiting free speech, along with “othering” and scapegoating people who hold different perspectives are
indeed part of the text-book behavior of all the totalitarian governments that have been responsible for the
biggest crimes against humanity throughout history. The craven misappropriation of antisemitism and memories
of the Holocaust is highly disrespectful to the Jewish people who have to deal with real antisemitism; not what was
being expressed by Mr. Bridgen!
We respectfully request that you withdraw the accusations of antisemitism leveled at Mr. Bridgen.
Sincerely and in Support of Other Jewish Doctors and Scientists,
Howard C Tenenbaum
