“Charles Eisenstein will map out the recovery of the timeline toward peace and liberation that was cut short in the 1960s, and connect it to the Presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
The nation is at a crossroads.”
Dear Friends,
Please join direct action members of the health freedom and peace movement at the Kennedy Campaign’s New York Ballot Access Kickoff Rally in Kingston next Tuesday. The event space, Senate Garage, looks good. Ballot access training begins at 5PM. Charles speaks at 7:30. There are 150 RSVPs already. As it says below, anything can happen here…
For those hit hard by Bobby’s statements on Gaza and now sitting out the election, here’s my pitch: let’s go talk to his policy advisor Charles Eisenstein about our concerns rather than hiding them in disappointment and abandon. In response to the concerns of many in our community, I will make a representative statement and ask a question at the event. I anticipate that someone else will ask the same question, and in either case I will report Charles’ answer.
Here’s what the campaign is promising:
“Charles Eisenstein will map out the recovery of the timeline toward peace and liberation that was cut short in the 1960s, and connect it to the Presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The nation is at a crossroads.”
Sounds good? A new start maybe? Given the subject of his talk — and its location — Charles will have to address the Gaza issue head on right there in Ulster County, home of both Woodstock and the state’s first colonial capitol, Kingston. It is also home to many Irish-Americans who struggled for eight hundred years against English oppression, unable to lawfully educate their children or participate politically throughout those centuries. How do I know this?
Because that historic Irish struggle is clearly evoked in the first two paragraphs of Bobby’s autobiography, American Values, Lessons I Learned from my Family:
We have six weeks to collect 45,000 signatures plus the tens of thousands of extra signatures necessary to meet New York’s strict compliance rules. If you can’t make it to Kingston, there will be an event the following day — March 17th — in Columbia County and again on Saturday. Let me know if you need help orienting to any of this coming week’s enormous number of events around New York and neighboring states. For the event in Columbia County, please RSVP to Gayla here.
A full list of events all around New York and beyond – hundreds of them – is impressive.
