Funeral processions have begun in cities such as Khorramabad, as citizens flee Tehran and other urban centers hit by repeated blasts.

Shops, schools, and businesses remain largely closed, and fuel shortages have worsened. Though Iran’s Revolutionary Guard remains active, one suspected target was an academy in Tehran’s Hakimiyeh district.

Nuclear Tensions Continue

While the U.S. and Israel accuse Iran of edging toward weaponization, Iranian officials maintain their uranium enrichment is strictly for peaceful purposes. Iran’s ambassador to Geneva, Ali Bahreini, reiterated that Iran “will continue to produce the enriched uranium as far as we need for peaceful purposes,” dismissing the notion that Israeli strikes had impaired their nuclear research.
