Did You Know The FDA Has a “Rumor Control” Department?
It’s true. www.FDA.gov/rumorcontrol brings you straight to a page that explains to you, the citizen who the FDA thinks is stupid, how to identify incorrect or malicious information.
Of course, the FDA makes no mention of the numerous examples when it was incorrect itself, it merely pats itself on the back as an approved source of information, and directs you to its official talking points, which are still “safe and effective”.
The Rumor Control page was presumably created sometime in mid-2022, as the first capture of the URL in the Wayback Machine was in Aug 2022. The page has been updated numerous times between then and now, with the latest update from two days ago. Let’s take a look at what the page looked like when it was created, currently, and the most recent version:
August 2022 – The Rumor Control homepage looked like this less than one year ago. It warns against spreading misinformation, and proclaims that pregnant and breastfeeding people (I think it’s safe to assume they mean women) should take the COVID vaccine, and that the vaccine doesn’t cause COVID-19. It also displays a gallery of Dr. Peter Marks promo videos for the vaccine.
April 1, 2023 – Six weeks ago, the homepage looked somewhat similar, with many of the same claims and videos as the original version:
May 16, 2023– Two days ago, the FDA updated the site which now looks like this. Gone from the homepage are the paragraph-long claims of the previous version, hidden behind a button far down on the page. Instead, the focus is all on the topic of Misinformation, how to “report” it, and why the FDA should be your trusted source.
May 18, 2023- The FDA posted a short video on socials, about avoiding spreading rumors, and advertising its “Rumor Control” program. The official FDA disabled comments on the link, so consider this my commentary. The FDA video is on the left, the right is my commentary, and screenshots I pulled from their Rumor Control page.
Just Stop Gaslighting
This whole thing is such a joke at this point. It’s insulting, infuriating, demeaning, controlling, authoritarian, and just plain evil to engage in this level of gaslighting and condescension, completely ignoring the absolute MOUNTAIN of evidence that’s been gathered over the last three years that negate life-or-death claims made by the FDA and its cohorts.
That the people at the FDA have the absolute chutzpah to outright target people who push back against their narrative, many of whom have been unequivocally proven to be correct while they encourage people to rat out their neighbors, using our own tax dollars + pharma’s dollars to do so is really too much.
Call out the bullying and the censorship when recognize it. Call out the gaslighting, deflection, narrow-mindedness, and cruelty when bullies deny that countless people have been injured or killed by the mRNA mass rollout.
The censorship class appears to be in panic mode, which makes the power it wields potentially dangerous.
Don’t let them gaslight you!
