Senate Candidate Found Dead In Vehicle

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed in a public statement that Christian was last seen on April 28 in Sayre. He was officially reported missing the following day.
Authorities said his vehicle was discovered on the morning of April 30 around 9:45 a.m. in the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area, a rural location south of Erick.
Investigators from the OSBI processed the scene and confirmed that Christian was found deceased inside the vehicle. Officials noted that the investigation remains ongoing, and the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. The state’s medical examiner is currently conducting an evaluation.
Ongoing Investigation
Law enforcement agencies, including the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office, the Elk City Fire Department, and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, assisted in the search and recovery efforts.
Authorities have urged anyone with information related to Christian’s disappearance or death to come forward, emphasizing that the case is still under active investigation.
Family Responds
Christian’s family has asked for privacy and compassion as they process the loss.
“Please pray for our family and friends. Our world is upside down right now,” his daughter Brooklyn said in a statement to local media.
She added that the family is still seeking clarity about what happened and asked the public to treat her father’s legacy with dignity.
Christian’s youngest daughter described him as a devoted father who prioritized his children above all else, saying he “wanted nothing more than to provide and protect his family.”
Political Background
Christian was one of three candidates running in the Republican primary for District 38 of the Oklahoma State Senate. He had launched his campaign in 2025 and was known locally for his business and community involvement.
His campaign had gained attention in part due to a public endorsement from Kid Rock, reflecting his connections beyond Oklahoma politics.
Community Impact
News of Christian’s death has sent shockwaves through the local community and political circles. Supporters and residents alike have expressed concern and sorrow as they await further details from investigators.
With unanswered questions surrounding the circumstances of his death, officials continue to piece together a timeline of events leading up to the discovery.
