The Maine Problem with Policing Is a Main Problem Nationwide

On July 25, 2025, ICE arrested Jon Luke Evans—an illegal alien from Jamaica who had been hired and was actively working as an armed, reserve police officer in for the town of Old Orchard Beach in the State of Maine. The arrest was made after Evans tried to illegally purchase a firearm which triggered a joint ATF/FBI response and subsequently flagged his status as illegal after overstaying his visa from 2023. (Evans claims he was purchasing the firearm to fulfill his duties, a claim that was contradicted by his own Police Chief, Elise Chard, who stated in several interviews that the Police Department issues firearms to officers and that they are not allowed to take them home).
The arrest has triggered the legacy media and the Old Orchard PD to blame US Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) on the whole debacle claiming that the OOBPD only hired Jon Luke Evans after they ran his required documents through E-Verify, a system used by employers and USCIS to confirm employment eligibility.
ICE states that the OOBPD should not have relied solely on E-Verify to vet this Jamaican National for a position in law enforcement.
The E-Verify website states clearly that it should not be used for pre-screening by employers and that it does not verify immigration status.
Legacy media states that the OOBPD and Evans did everything they were supposed to and are painting this as overreach and a major mistake by USCIS and ultimately the Department of Homeland Security.
But what is not being talked about? What about the ease at which one could get into the USA under the Biden Administration and how easy it is to obtain a State Driver’s License in certain states? Or how easy it was in the past four years to get a social security card, either through major data breaches that resulted in tens of millions of social security numbers being leaked to and sold on the dark web? Or the overall organized criminal syndicate hell-scape Jamaica has become in the last decade…a major hub for illegal weapons and narcotics sales and trade between other Caribbean nations as well as South America, using Miami, Florida as it’s main entry point? And what about Maine’s own regulations, laws, and statutes governing how law enforcement officers may be hired (full time and part time) independent of Federal regulations?
Well, we are going through all of these unasked questions tonight, and we’ve got the answers. And don’t worry, we have the receipts.
Don’t get distracted by the finger pointing and this week’s “shiny thing” called “E-Verify”. The real danger and the thing to focus on is what is happening in places like Maine (and many other states) where the liberal governments of these states seem hell-bent on facilitating the invasion of the USA from within…starting with our police. And never forget, the danger of external enemies exists and is growing every day. Whether these are hostile nations or organized (and violent) criminal syndicates from around the world. America is the prize, and everyone wants to own it or destroy it.
Jon Luke Evans may be a good guy, may be a bad guy, may be a threat, may be just an illegal alien on an overstayed visa who wanted to be a cop….problem is we don’t know…and neither did the Old Orchard Police Department when they hired him. Oh, and don’t forget, they claim they did their own background check, and he was cleared. Well, so did our host, Brian O’Shea…and the results. There was not much to find…and therein lies the problem.
