“23AndMe’s Bankruptcy Should Have ALL Americans Terrified” w/ guest Brandon Weichert
“On March 24, 2025, the DNA-harvesting giant masquerading as a family history and genealogy company announced it was filing for bankruptcy. Immediately, media influencers on both the political Left and Right began screaming the same warning: “If you’re a 23andMe customer, delete your data immediately!!!”
Multiple privacy, consumer protection, and health freedom advocates—as well as watchdog groups—filed lawsuits, submitted FOIA requests, and issued dire warnings to consumers whose DNA was now in the hands of 23andMe. Some even made “how to delete your digital DNA data from 23andMe” videos.
But it’s too late.
That data is gone—and it’s definitely (or at least 99% likely) that not only did 23andMe secure customer data long ago, but so did its institutional shareholders… from the Chinese Communist Party to entities on global watchlists. It’s all buried in their terms of service: they were allowed to share your data with… well… anyone who bought it from them (disguised as “massive investments”).
Okay, that sucks for 23andMe customers. But what can bad actors—who now have access to billions of DNA profiles from individuals all over the world—really do with that data? I mean… it’s not like they can make bullets that target your individual DNA profile… right?
Well, we’re lucky to have author and geopolitical analyst Brandon Weichert with us to explain why, actually, you should be terrified. And I hate to spread fear, but as Brandon and I discussed this week… there may not be a way to fully protect yourself.
But hey—knowledge is power, and transparency is liberating. And maybe (just maybe) we have the right leadership who can do something to protect our fellow Americans—and people around the world—from the most dangerous data grab in history.
The “DNA Gold Rush” may have subsided, but the DNA-based weapons arms race may just be beginning… though it probably started long ago. Brandon is here to tell us what we need to know.
