Bill Gives New Bandwidth to “The Internet of Things”
DIGIT Act: Developing Innovation and Growing the Internet of Things
S. 88 – Sponsored by Senator Deb Fisher (R-NE)
The following bill is concerned with the up-and-coming technology called “The Internet of Things.” The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept in which massive numbers of devices are connected to the internet, and data-sharing between these devices is enabled. For example, your alarm clock could be connected to your coffee machine, and upon ringing automatically, it could signal the coffee machine to brew your coffee. Your car navigation can be synced up with your digital calendar, and could automatically map the quickest route to your next meeting.
