“IMPOSTER ACCOUNT” – Dr Naomi Wolf Is Being Impersonated on Telegram

Dr. Naomi Wolf – Telegram Imposter
Aug 16, 2021–On July 21, 2021, a fake account impersonating Dr. Naomi Wolf on the messaging
platform Telegram was brought to our attention. We immediately altered the listed departments on
Telegram of this violation of Dr. Wolf’s copyrighted name, likeness and the intellectual property.
The fake account uses Dr. Wolf’s photo, her bio, and a link to her company DailyClout.io, making it
nearly impossible to tell this is not actually her profile. The content shared on this page centers around
COVID-19 infections, treatments and contains false information. We are deeply concerned that the
false information shared on this imposter page will be used to smear the good work done by Dr.
Wolf on these issues.
Dr. Wolf, a Rhodes Scholar, 8-time bestseller author and American thought leader has been slandered in
the media as an anti-vaxxer with false claims that she has spread false misinformation. She was censored
off of Twitter and YouTube for sharing publicly available information on COVID-19 and we are deeply
concerned that this fake account is an attempt to further damage her reputation and credibility.
On August 8, 2021, DailyClout.io general council followed up with a legal demand to take down the fake
account.
As of today, Telegram has not responded to these repeated requests and the fake account has amassed
close to 20,000 members who are under the false impression that the content is being offered by Dr. Wolf,
which it is not.
If you are reporting on Dr. Wolf or looking for her on Telegram, her handle is @ NaomiWolf and she is
not writing or responsible for the content on the fake imposter account @NaomiRWolf.
