I have directly experienced exactly the same sort of cowardice among journal editors when submitting manuscripts that analytically contradict the favored narrative in climate science or in psychology.. Editors literally flee the submission.
I get high, and this is the kind of website I end up in. Don’t smoke weed people, you end up in some really shady and stupid websites with nonsense information.
