Josh Tickell is an internationally recognized author, film director, speaker, and expert on regeneration
and the climate. In 2008 Josh released his first feature film FUEL, which won the Sundance Audience
Award for Best Documentary, was shortlisted for Oscar, was screened in the White House and released
theatrically globally. Producing and Directing with his wife Rebecca Harrell Tickell, he followed the movie
up with 20 critically acclaimed, award-winning films. In 2017, Josh Tickell’s book, Kiss the Ground, How
the Food You Eat Can Reverse Climate Change, Heal Your Body and Ultimately Save the World became
an Amazon Bestseller in four categories. The documentary, also entitled Kiss the Ground, won 75
awards, was screened by the United States Department of Agriculture, became a mainstay for
agriculture hearings in Washington D.C. and released on Netflix to rave reviews by the New York Times,
the Los Angeles Times and a 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The follow up film, Common
Ground recently won the Tribeca Film Festival’s Human/Nature Award, won two awards at the Boston
Film Festival, is currently releasing theatrically in 200 cities across the United States and is among the
top grossing theatrical documentaries in the US for 2023.
