French Newspaper Says America Is Killing Itself
And Trapped in “Madness”
In a stinging Editorial, a French Newspaper responds to the tragic shooting in Texas by calling out what it sees as a country trapped in madness. Where America is killing itself, while Politicians look the other way.
What do you think?

Let Monde,,
Is France so perfect? Why don’t you have an opinion on the genetic modification therapy injections that is doing more worldwide harm? I feel deep sympathy for the innocent children who were murdered but in the attack – the poor guy had mental health issues and most likely was taking psychotropic medications by Big Pharma … so who actually pulled the trigger – why doesn’t Let Monde write about the homicidal side effects of certain psychiatric medications? Look at the guy behind the gun – he pulled the trigger. N’est pa?
Very well said!!
This is a BS opinion from someone who is brainwashed by the mainstream media.
What’s to expect from these cheese eating surrender monkeys? Didn’t WE have to save their lame butts TWO times in the past 120 years?
Outsiders such as myself (I live in Australia) find the violence and gun culture of the US very strange. In England and Australia we don’t have these mass murders; this is mainly because we just don’t have a gun culture in which it seems everyone has a gun and the country is awash with guns. Our culture is simply much more peaceful, much less violent since we never embarked on the course you took. How incredible it was to see the Rittenhouse case – what is an 18 year old boy doing marching around a town during a riot with a gun! What madness! Of course he was innocent – innocent but how stupid! My sister in law is from Chicago; her sister lives in Phoenix – this woman has three handguns, one always at the ready in her purse. This is not ‘the right to bear arms’ but the craziness of self-defence in an apparently out of control gun culture. In a world of left wing madness, gun control might be the one thing they have somewhere near to being right – but how do you reverse something engrained in a culture?
Susie Q may feel “deep sympathy” for the innocent children who were slaughtered in Uvalde (although sympathy, like prayer, does nothing for the dead), but she is much more concerned with protecting her beliefs from an intervention by a French newspaper, which is immediately inflated to include all French citizens.
It can be stipulated that France is not perfect. So who, Ms Q implies, are they (the French) to criticise?
Perfection is a pretty high bar to meet, you may think, just to have an opinion, but the appeal to jingoism always stirs up the haters (step forward, Chalk Outline).
If criticise they must, then obviously (in Ms Q’s opinion) the French should reserve their criticism for a much worse thing that is happening somewhere else in the world, or, in this case, everywhere else – and that thing happens to be the object of Ms Q’s disgust and anger. Put simply: school massacres are regrettable but they are not as bad as the Covid vaccine, so shut up, Frenchy.
But… how neat if the object of that disgust and anger also turned out, ultimately, to be behind the Uvalde murders… if the latest chapter in America’s long, ugly and unique history of school massacres could be put down not to things in evidence (like the suspect’s fascination with high powered weapons, and his untrammelled access both to two assault rifles and to 359 rounds of ammunition) but to information not in evidence and known only to Ms Q (that the “poor guy” had mental health issues) which leads to the fanciful conclusion that the “poor guy” was “most likely… taking psychotropic medications by Big Pharma”.
There follows another appeal to anger, the implication being that “Let Monde” is writing about stupid stuff (like gun control and the politics of mass murder) when the really important thing is the “homicidal side effects of certain psychiatric medications”, which, in Ms Q’s fevered imagination, place Big Pharma’s finger on the trigger in that classroom.
And there you have it.
Not the gun. Not even the ” poor guy” behind the gun, but the bad guys behind the “poor guy” behind the gun.
Case closed.
