Early in her career she worked in the art department at Time Magazine before expanding into design, decorative painting, and mural work, experiences that continue to influence the visual richness of her paintings.
Over the years, McNulty has exhibited throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. Her work has appeared in exhibitions at the American Academy of Arts and Letters Invitational Exhibition, the Samuel Dorsky Museum, Athens Cultural Center, and numerous regional galleries. She has also received recognition including a Best in Show award at the Hudson Opera House and an Individual Artist Grant through the New York State Council on the Arts’ Decentralization Program.
