Ignored Warnings in Uvalde and CDC Shooting
On May 24, 2022, in Uvalde, Texas, terrified parents stood outside Robb Elementary School, pleading with police to do something—anything—to stop the slaughter inside. The body cam footage, published by the Dallas Morning News, is almost unbearable to watch. Officers lingered in the hallway while the sound of gunfire came from the classrooms.
The gut-punch is this: we’ve seen this before. And we’re seeing it again.
Think about Matthew Crooks, the man who opened fire at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Five hours before the shooting, his own father called police to warn them. This wasn’t some vague “I’m worried” chat. He was specific: his son was in a local shooting club, he was concerned, and he wanted help. That kind of call is rare—and deadly serious.
Or rewind to December 2009. Nigerian banker Umaru Abdulmutallab walked into the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and told CIA officers his son had been radicalized in Yemen and might be planning an attack. Weeks later, his son boarded Northwest Airlines Flight 253 with explosives sewn into his underwear. We call him the “underwear bomber” now, but that attack came after multiple agencies were warned.
Now there’s the CDC shooting. PBS reported that suspect Patrick Joseph White “had recently verbalized thoughts of suicide” and that law enforcement had been contacted “several weeks before the shooting.” That wording is so vague it almost hides more than it reveals. What exactly was said to police? Why was it the police—rather than mental health professionals—getting the call? Did White hint at violence toward others? Was anyone looking at his communications?
Here’s the part you’re not supposed to talk about: White linked his depression and suicidal thoughts to the COVID-19 vaccines he received. Mainstream outlets quickly dismissed that connection. But on June 6, 2025, Thorp et al. published a study showing a long list of neuropsychiatric issues reported to VAERS after COVID vaccination—everything from brain fog to suicidal ideation. It’s not proof, but it’s a clue worth taking seriously.
And yet, instead of asking those questions, politicians like Senator Richard Blumenthal pivoted to a different talking point: that vaccine criticism itself is dangerous and could inspire violence. It’s the same move we see over and over—tragedy gets turned into a political shield.
The deeper pattern is hard to ignore. Warnings get ignored, tragedies happen, and the fallout is used to expand government power. That’s not cynicism; that’s the record.
The Founding Fathers—average age just 44, many in their early 30s—understood that young men are the group most likely to push back against tyranny. Today, governments work hard to keep that group docile, distracted, or tied up in foreign wars. And yes, forcing them into medical compliance fits that pattern too.
If Trump, HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., and FBI Director Kash Patel want to keep the trust of the people who put them in office, they need to go after this corruption with the same energy they promise to use against the so-called “Deep State.” That includes admitting that the COVID-19 vaccine program caused real harm.
Because history has a way of remembering who acted—and who looked the other way.
