California Hospital Sued for Concealing Stillbirth Spike Linked to COVID-19 Vaccines
A new lawsuit filed in Fresno County accuses a major California hospital of deliberately hiding data showing a sharp rise in stillbirths among women who received the COVID-19 vaccine. The complaint alleges that Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno began seeing a “catastrophic surge” in fetal deaths in spring 2021—shortly after the vaccine rollout—and actively concealed the correlation from staff, patients, and public health regulators.
Veteran nurse Michelle Spencer, the whistleblower behind the lawsuit, claims the hospital not only ignored the mounting evidence but also retaliated against her for raising alarm. According to Spencer, nearly all of the stillbirths occurred in mothers who had recently been vaccinated, while unvaccinated pregnancies continued to show normal birth outcomes.
The lawsuit further alleges that hospital administrators benefited financially from promoting the vaccines while ignoring visible harms and silencing dissent. Internal emails cited in the case show hospital managers discussing high volumes of “demise patients” while instructing staff on how to manage the remains—without ever acknowledging the potential cause. Children’s Health Defense is funding the lawsuit, which includes charges of fraud, retaliation, and unethical medical practices.
