“On the Night Shift: Five Hours of a Historical Election Night for Future Archives!”
Host Brian O’Shea recorded C-SPAN’s election coverage for posterity and vigilance. This episode is important as it tracked the election updates from C-SPAN live in order to preserve their coverage for the record. In 2020 many of the results changed between the time many Americans went to bed and the time they woke up the next morning. To avoid the terrible surprises most were shocked by the morning after the 2020 election night, Brian burned the ”midnight oil” from midnight November 5, 2024, until roughly 5 am November 6, 202,4 in order to keep watch on the media and ensure that they didn’t try to change their results to accommodate any potential fraud.
