Netherlands Attempts to ‘Reduce Emissions,’ Farmers Suffer
Standing in solidarity, groups of children in the Netherlands show their support for farmers’ protests by gathering in the streets. Dutch farmers have recently been protesting the radical reduction of livestock. The only reason that they have been given for this severe blow to their livelihood is that it will help “meet environmental targets.”
It seems as though the cost of “reducing emissions” will hit farmers and their sectors the hardest. Farmers and their supporters have blocked off major roads and distribution centers with tractors in order to protest.
