Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed federal prosecutors to examine what she describes as a decade-long pattern of politically motivated law enforcement, framing it as a potential ongoing conspiracy that interfered with elections and violated the civil rights of conservative Americans.

In written responses to Just the News, Bondi said she has authorized U.S. attorneys and federal agents to investigate the use of intelligence and prosecutorial power during the Obama-Biden years, echoing concerns raised earlier by Kash Patel, who has argued that the Russia collusion investigation may represent part of a broader, coordinated effort rather than isolated misconduct.

Bondi’s framing is legally significant. By treating alleged abuses as part of an ongoing conspiracy, prosecutors could pursue charges that might otherwise fall outside normal statutes of limitation, a tactic historically used in complex organized-crime cases where actions span many years and multiple actors.

“This was not a single lapse in judgment or one rogue investigation,” Bondi said, describing what she called a sustained pattern of government weaponization carried out by senior officials. She argued that the conduct damaged public trust and distorted the political process by shielding favored figures while aggressively targeting ideological opponents.

According to Bondi, evidence released by the Justice Department and the FBI to congressional investigators has already laid the groundwork for such a case. She said the volume of disclosures surpasses anything provided by prior administrations and demonstrates a systemic imbalance in how federal power was applied.

While Bondi declined to specify all jurisdictions involved, officials familiar with the inquiry told reporters that a substantial portion of the investigative work is centered in Florida. That focus reflects the state’s connection to the 2022 FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, an action that has since come under renewed scrutiny following internal law-enforcement communications questioning whether probable cause was sufficient.

Bondi accused federal agencies of selectively enforcing the law, pointing to evidence suggesting that figures such as Hunter Biden and Hillary Clinton were insulated from aggressive investigation while conservatives were subjected to expansive surveillance, raids, and legal pressure.

She also criticized what she described as “excessive” use of warrants and investigative authorities, saying some actions were approved despite objections from officials within the same agencies tasked with executing them.

The Attorney General reserved particular criticism for former CIA Director John Brennan, whose legal team recently sought judicial intervention related to a grand jury inquiry examining his past testimony. Bondi characterized the move as an attempt to preserve a two-tiered justice system by preemptively blocking legitimate executive-branch investigations.

Bondi said the guiding principle of her department’s approach is simple: the rule of law must apply evenly, regardless of political status or institutional power.

“No one is above the law,” she said, adding that the maxim applies as much to senior officials and intelligence leaders as it does to ordinary citizens.
