Former Colorado Election Official Allegedly in Solitary Confinement, Says Representative

November 21, 2025 • by DailyClout

Former Mesa County clerk Tina Peters, currently serving a nine-year prison sentence in Colorado for her role in an election-system breach, has become the subject of fresh controversy after U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly claimed that Peters is being held in solitary confinement. Greene’s tweet, posted on X, reads:

ā€œPoor Tina Peters is in solitary confinement!! … This Gold Star Mom needs to be released from prison!! If President Trump can free hostages in Gaza, then he should be able to free Tina Peters. Work with the state of Colorado!!ā€ X (formerly Twitter)

The claim of solitary confinement has not been independently verified by state corrections officials or mainstream reporting. What is known is that Peters has been incarcerated under Colorado state custody following her 2024 conviction, and her case continues to draw national attention.

Greene’s statement places Peters’ situation in the broader context of election-integrity debates and frames her detention as a matter of political persecution. The suggestion of solitary confinement adds a human-rights dimension to the story, raising questions about the treatment of inmates in politically charged cases.

Given the lack of official confirmation of the confinement conditions, the claim remains an allegation at this stage. As the story unfolds, observers are watching for any formal response from the Colorado Department of Corrections or related authorities.
