Curtis Ellis: The Threat of the CCP
“MUST-WATCH: American Jobs Alliance Founder and Former Trump Team Member Curtis Ellis on What He Calls Existential Threat Posed by China
“In one of the most significant interviews DailyClout has ever done. Curtis Ellis, founder of the American Jobs Alliance, explains the current threat to the US and, in his view, to the rest of the democracies in the world, that is posed by the Chinese Communist Party’s power grab during this pandemic.
Ellis — who has served on the campaign, in the transition and in the administration of President Donald J Trump — makes the case that the economic and even the medical crisis we face now had its origins decades ago with the introduction of globalization and the demise of manufacturing in the US. He notes that the US no longer makes its own personal protective equipment, so our frontline workers have to be dependent on China for supplies.
Ellis argues that a confluence of neoliberalist financial interests and the totalitarian orientation of the Chinese Communist Party, working together in many forms of corporations and in global institutional alliances, has created a monolith of entangled meta-national interests that make addressing the coronavirus crisis much harder and that also threaten the erode further the American and international middle classes, environmental protections, civil society values and democracies in general.
Ellis shines a light on the appalling human rights abuses — notably against their own people – committed by the Chinese Communist Party and explains how the current pandemic allows China to gain leverage over the US and other nations in securing its position as the global and ideological superpower. He traces why Western media are reluctant to criticize the abuses of the CCP — demonstrating conflicts of interest that silence what would otherwise be harsh media scrutiny of the CCP’s abuses. Ellis, finally, sketches what he sees as a near future of China-style surveillance exported abroad, and the CC extending its influence over other nations, unless people wake up to the danger posed by what he calls a geopolitical power grab — a threat that in his view far transcends any partisanship domestically. A must-watch.”
