50 Students At Paso High Enter Maskless In Protest
February 16, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., 50 Paso Robles High School students in Paso Robles, California walked into the high school unmasked in contravention of the recommendation and policies of the high school, county, and state. The students continued onward unmasked into the classroom.
Participating students expressed a demand to end the mandates.
The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees, the governing board of the school, has repeatedly rebuffed agenda items related to ending the mandates, calling such action out of its control.
This insistence by the school board continues despite other districts in the state ending the enforcement of the state and county mandates at the vote of the board.
The next meeting of the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Despite objection by the board President, the issue of mask mandates will be taken up that night by the board.
