Homestead Exemption Increase Amendment [HJR-7]
The purpose of this resolution is to allow each county to increase the homestead exemption from $20,000 to an amount not to exceed $50,000 or an amount equal to fifty percent of the average property value in the county, whichever is greater. Establishing a Small Business Empowerment and Economic Expansion Program providing tax relief to newly-established small businesses [HB-2375]
The purpose of this bill is to create a program to provide tax relief to new businesses that hire West Virginia residents as at least fifty percent of their employees.
