The purpose of this bill is to create the Statewide Interoperable Radio Network. The bill establishes a short title. The bill defines terms. The bill establishes objectives and a purpose. The bill prescribes duties for the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator. The bill prescribes duties for the statewide Interoperability Executive Committee. The bill provides for disposition of assets and staffing of the Statewide Interoperable Radio Network. The bill establishes a special revenue account for the Statewide Interoperable Radio Network. The bill exempts the Statewide Interoperable Radio Network from certain Purchasing Division requirements. The bill authorizes emergency and legislative rule-making.
