Weekend Voting Act This bill amends the Revised Statutes of the United States to change the timing for regularly scheduled elections for the House of Representatives, Senate, and electors of the President and Vice President to the first Saturday and Sunday after the first Friday in November.Each state shall by law establish the hours of operation for polling places. Vote By Mail Act of 2017 This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require states to allow voting in federal elections to be by mail without additional conditions or requirements, except a deadline for returning the ballot. States must mail ballots to individuals registered to vote in a federal election not later than two weeks before the election. The U.S. Postal Service must carry ballots mailed by a state expeditiously and free of postage. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 is amended to authorize automatic voter registration

Anti-Lunch Shaming Act of 2017 [HB-2401]
Anti-Lunch Shaming Act of 2017 This bill amends the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to establish requirements for the treatment of a child who is a student at a school participating in the National School Lunch Program or the School Breakfast Program and is unable to pay for a meal at the school. The bill applies to a child who either does not have funds to pay for a meal or has outstanding credit that was extended by a school food authority (SFA). Humane Cosmetics Act [HB-2790]
Humane Cosmetics Act This bill prohibits testing cosmetics on animals, effective on the date that is one year after enactment of this bill. No cosmetic may be sold or transported if the final product or any component was developed or manufactured using animal testing after that date, effective three years after enactment of this bill.

Explanation of the Humane Cosmetics Act in Layman's Terms:
The Humane Cosmetics Act is a bill that aims to stop cosmetic companies from testing their products on animals and selling products that have been tested on animals. The bill defines what cosmetics and cosmetic animal testing are. It prohibits any entity from conducting or contracting for cosmetic animal testing in the United States if it's for creating products to be sold in the market. It also makes it illegal to sell or transport cosmetics that have been tested on animals. Companies that violate these rules may face civil penalties of up to $10,000 for each violation. The effective dates of these prohibitions are set at 1 year and 3 years after the bill's enactment, respectively.

Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act [HB-1759]
Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act This bill amends the Animal Welfare Act to establish a prohibition on the use of exotic or wild animals in performances (e.g., circus, ride, carnival, or parade) of a traveling animal act. The prohibition does not apply to the use of animals in: (1) zoos; (2) aquariums; (3) research facilities; (4) film, television, or advertising, if the performance is not before a public studio audience; or (5) rodeos. The prohibition also does not apply to domestic animals or farm animals.
