Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund; joint subcommittee. Increases the maximum amount of covered expenses that may be paid to certain crime victims to $30,000 from $25,000 and the maximum amount of an emergency award to $3,000 from $2,000. Deferred compensation plan for Medicaid program independent contractors. Authorizes the Director of the Department of Medical Assistance Services to provide payments or transfers to the Virginia Retirement System's deferred compensation plan for dentists or oral and maxillofacial surgeons who are independent contractors providing services for the Commonwealth's Medicaid program.
