Summary of Substitute House Bill Number 276

To designate and change the name and location of multiple memorial highways and bridges in the State of Ohio

Amends existing sections and enacts new sections of the Revised Code to designate and change the name and location of multiple memorial highways and bridges
Specifies the names and locations of each memorial highway and bridge
Authorizes the Director of Transportation to erect suitable markers along the highways indicating their names

The bill designates memorial highways and bridges in various counties in Ohio using the following names:

"SFC Charles E. Carpenter Memorial Highway" - for a road in Butler and Warren counties
"Patrolman Mathew Mazany Memorial Highway" - for sections of State Route 2 in Lake County
"Patrolman James A. Fredericka Memorial Highway" - for sections of State Route 7 in Trumbull County
"PFC William Boggs, CPL Sam Boggs, and SGT Robert Boggs Memorial Highway" - for sections of US Route 62 in Fayette County
"RDML Alene Duerk Memorial Highway" - for sections of State Route 108 in Henry County
"SFC Charles Gregory Huston Memorial Highway" - for sections of State Route 66 in Shelby County
And many more

The Director of Transportation is authorized to erect suitable markers along the highways indicating their names.

This bill repeals existing sections 5534.817, 5534.893, 5534.894, and 5534.895 of the Revised Code.
