Fair Trade Accessibility and Accountability Act of 2017 [HB-3233]
Fair Trade Accessibility and Accountability Act of 2017 This bill directs the Department of Commerce to provide financial assistance to small firms to assist them in preparing and filing petitions to obtain the remedies and benefits available under the Tariff Act of 1930 relating to the imposition of countervailing and antidumping duties investigations. Commerce shall review an application for assistance submitted by a small firm based on the firm's ability-to-pay and its economic impact in its local community. The amount of such assistance is capped.

Transportation and Trailer Modernization Act of 2017 This bill amends the Clean Air Act to revise the definition of a motor vehicle to exclude trailers and vehicles reliant on a connection to a self-propelled vehicle for power. (The Environmental Protection Agency set emissions standards for trailers as a part of motor vehicle emissions regulations. Heartbeat Protection Act of 2017 This bill amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for a physician to knowingly perform an abortion: (1) without determining whether the fetus has a detectable heartbeat, (2) without informing the mother of the results, or (3) after determining that a fetus has a detectable heartbeat. It provides an exception for an abortion that is necessary to save the life of a mother whose life is endangered by a physical (but not psychological or emotional) disorder, illness, or condition.
