An Act To Amend Chapter 37 Of Title 24 Relating To Speech/language Pathologists, Audiologists And Hearing Aid Dispensers. [HB-171]
This Bill amends the Board composition to provide that a slot may be filled by an audiologist or by a hearing aid dispenser which shall address the challenge in locating a hearing aid dispenser to serve on the Board. Further, this Bill adds a definition for the practice of hearing aid dispensing to set forth the appropriate scope of practice for hearing aid dispensers, based on their training and qualifications, in the interest of public protection. An Act To Amend Title 11, 16 And 29 Of The Delaware Code Related To Dangerous Animals And Animal Welfare Laws. [HB-173]
This bill further consolidates animal welfare law enforcement roles and responsibilities under Title 16. The Office of Animal Welfare enforces all animal control and animal cruelty laws of this state. Upon the transfer of such responsibilities to the Office of Animal Welfare, officers were given greater enforcement authority than previously assigned under the Delaware State Constable Board. An Act To Amend Title 11 Relating To Illegal Purchases Of Firearms. [HB-174]
This Act raises the first offense of purchasing or obtaining a firearm for someone not legally qualified to own, possess or purchase one from a Class F to a Class E Felony. This change is to deter such "straw purchases" by making jail time more likely for the offender, and consequently, to reduce the number of people who cannot legally possess firearms but obtain them in this manner.

An Act To Amend Title 6, Title 8, And Title 12 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Various Fees And Taxes Charged By The Secretary Of State. [HB-175]
This Act alters various fees assessed by the Delaware Secretary of State. An Act To Amend Title 10 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Minors' Petitions For Name Change. [HB-178]
The children of parents who divorce or were never married often share a surname with only one parent, which may lead to confusion or hardship when schools, doctors, or others fail to recognize the childs connection with the parent with whom the child does not share a similar surname. Parents and children in such circumstances have compelling reason to seek to add a second surname to the childs name.

An Act To Amend Title 29 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Medicaid And Home Health Care. [HB-200]
This bill sets a minimum reimbursement rate for home health care nursing services paid for by Medicaid-contracted organizations. The rate shall be at least equal to the rate set by the Division of Medicaid for equivalent services. Home care nurses and aides give Delawareans with disabilities the option to remain at home with their families and prevents unnecessary use of higher-cost hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities.

An Act To Amend Title 24 Of The Delaware Code Relating To Telemedicine. [HB-201]
This Act clarifies that after a physician-patient relationship has been properly established in accordance with this section, subsequent communications and treatment may be conducted as the doctor and patient deem appropriate.
