IMPACT Act Improving and Reinstating the Monitoring, Prevention, Accountability, Certification, and Transparency Provisions of Opportunity Zones [S.2994]
Provides statutory authority for annual reporting requirements by qualified opportunity funds and taxpayers investing in such funds and sets forth the information required in the reports. The bill imposes penalties for failure to comply with such reporting requirements. This resolution requires the Office of the Secretary of the Senate to temporarily hold the salaries of Senators in escrow until the Senate has passed certain legislation that addresses the COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) outbreak. The funds shall be held in escrow beginning on March 25, 2020, and ending on the earlier of (1) the date that the Senate passes COVID-19 relief legislation (i.e., legislation that the majority leader of the Senate determines appropriately addresses the COVID-19 outbreak); and (2) the last day of the 116th Congress.
