An act to amend the insurance law, in relation to requiring the department of insurance to establish an office within the department which handles complaints relative to long term care health insurance plans [AB-6274]
The bill would require that the department of insurance establish an office which would receive, investigate, and take appropriate actions relative to long term care insurance. It would require that the department make records of complaints available for public inspection, provided that the names of complainants are deleted.

An act to amend the general business law, in relation to limited death benefit life insurance policies for persons aged sixty and over [AB-6276]
This bill would enable a senior citizen who is solicited to purchase a so-called "low-value" life insurance policy to make better informed buying choices by requiring the insurer, at the time of delivery of such policy, to make specified disclosure, in a readily understood manner, of material facts concerning important features thereof.
