Short Title:

The bill can be referred to as the "Destroy Zombie Guns Act".

Section 2: Safe Firearm Destruction:

This section modifies Section 922 of title 18, United States Code.

Subsection (a) states that it is illegal for anyone involved in destroying firearms, while destroying or assisting in the destruction of a firearm that has been transported across state or foreign borders, to not destroy every part of the firearm.

Subsection (b) provides a definition for "engaged in the business" as it applies to individuals who destroy firearms. This definition includes people who devote time, attention, and labor to destroy firearms regularly for profit.

Subsection (c) introduces penalties for violating subsection (a). Individuals who violate this subsection may be fined, imprisoned for a maximum of 2 years, or both. Additionally, the license issued to a firearm dealer may be suspended or immediately revoked by the Attorney General for first or subsequent violations of this subsection.
