Increasing the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law [HB-2006]
The purpose of this bill is to increase the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law. The bill additionally authorizes the termination from employment for a violation, instead of the current allowance of a suspension not to exceed six months.

Establishing a Small Business Empowerment and Economic Expansion Program providing tax relief to newly-established small businesses [HB-2375]
The purpose of this bill is to create a program to provide tax relief to new businesses that hire West Virginia residents as at least fifty percent of their employees.
