Increasing the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law [HB-2006]
The purpose of this bill is to increase the penalties for violating the Whistle-blower Law. The bill additionally authorizes the termination from employment for a violation, instead of the current allowance of a suspension not to exceed six months.

The purpose of this bill is to create criminal offenses relating to money laundering. The bill specifies two new felonies relating to: (i) Laundering criminal proceeds through financial transaction; and (ii) transportation, transmission, or transfer of criminal proceeds. The bill also provides for the forfeiture of proceeds involved or traceable to the laundering.

Relating to primary and secondary school instructional terms [HB-2584]
The purpose of this bill is to modify primary and secondary school instructional terms. The bill removes the word “separate” throughout the section as it relates to the number of instructional days in the school calendar.
