Senate Bill No. 8

An act relating to firearms.

Existing law allows a court to temporarily restrict a person's access to firearms and ammunition if there is reason to believe that the person poses a serious risk of harm to themselves or others. This bill expresses the intention of the Legislature to create laws that aim to prevent gun violence.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

Section 1

It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to gun violence prevention.
