As introduced, increases the property value threshold for determining the extent of any property tax relief payments to disabled veterans and their surviving spouses from $100,000 to $175,000 of the full market value of the property for any veteran receiving property tax relief in 2014 or prior years and reapplying to receive a reimbursement for tax year 2017 and subsequent years without interruption. - Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 5. As enacted, exempts certain active, volunteer firefighters and rescue squad members from payment of the regular registration fee at the time of renewal for license plate issued to the volunteer firefighter or rescue squad member; authorizes a county legislative body to waive the motor vehicle tax for motor vehicles receiving the exemption from the registration fee, if the waiver is approved in the same manner as the adoption of the motor vehicle tax. - Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 4.
