About SCR-1

A concurrent resolution extending the life of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Declares that:

  • (1) the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, created by S.Con.Res

28 (114th Congress), to make the necessary arrangements for the inauguration of the President-elect and the Vice President-elect of the United States, is continued with the same power and authority provided for in such resolution; and

  • (2) the provisions of S.Con.Res

29 (114th Congress), to authorize the rotunda and Emancipation Hall of the Capitol to be used in connection with such proceedings and ceremonies, are continued with the same power and authority provided for in such resolution.
