Relating to PSC approval of high voltage transmission line construction [SB-614]
The purpose of this bill is to, during the Public Service Commission approval process of the construction of high voltage transmission lines: (1) Require the applicant to notify all owners of surface real estate and operators of producing oil or gas wells that lie within one thousand feet of the center line on both sides of the proposed transmission line; and (2) Require the commission to act in the best interest of West Virginia customers to meet the present and future needs and reliability of service for West Virginia customers.
