About HB-1170

Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to make grants to encourage the development of new assistive technologies for specially adapted housing for disabled veterans. Limits grant amounts to $200,000 annually per recipient. Provides that if a grant recipient is awarded a patent related to assistive technology developed with grant amounts, the Secretary shall retain no less than a 30% interest in the patent. Provides grant funds. Terminates grant authority five years after the enactment of this Act.
