     A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled

 

"Michigan vehicle code,"

 

(MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 654a.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 654. (1) A motorcycle forming part of a motorcycle

 

procession has the right-of-way over all other vehicles except fire

 

apparatus, ambulances, and police patrol vehicles at a street or

 

highway intersection within this state if the motorcycle displays a

 

flag that is fluorescent orange in color. The lead motorcycle and

 

the last motorcycle in the motorcycle procession may carry an

 

additional flag. The flags described in this subsection shall not

 

be embossed or printed with a name.

 

     (2) A person passing through a motorcycle procession

 

designated under subsection (1) with a vehicle of any kind is

 


responsible for a civil infraction.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
