A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 for the department of agriculture to work in collaboration with the department of land and natural resources to increase feral pig control by measures, including:

     (1)  Grants for fencing;

     (2)  Grants for corral traps; and

     (3)  A program to reduce feral pig populations.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of agriculture for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
