     A bill to amend 1975 PA 238, entitled

 

"Child protection law,"

 

(MCL 722.621 to 722.638) by adding section 9b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 9b. (1) The agency within the department that is

 

responsible for administering and providing services under this act

 

shall make a comprehensive quarterly report to the chairs of the

 

house and senate standing oversight committees no later than every

 

January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31. The report must

 

include data from the child protective services investigatory staff

 

who must provide a measurement for each of the following:

 

     (a) Was the investigation commenced within 24 hours after

 

receiving a report made under this act?

 

     (b) Was a central registry review or clearance performed for

 

all required individuals?


     (c) Was face-to-face contact made within the established

 

timeframe required by the department?

 

     (d) Was a sibling placement evaluation completed when 1 or

 

more children remain in the home after a child has been removed?

 

     (e) Were the family needs and strengths assessments completed?

 

     (f) Was the supervisory review performed in a timely manner?

 

     (g) How many child protective services investigators have been

 

concerned for his or her own personal safety?

 

     (h) How many investigators are using the mobile application or

 

other tool to document compliance?

 

     (2) The data included in the reports required under subsection

 

(1) must be from the most recent 30-day period before the report is

 

submitted.
