A bill to amend 1988 PA 511, entitled

"Community corrections act,"

by amending section 11 (MCL 791.411), as amended by 2014 PA 466.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 11. (1) The office shall authorize payments from money appropriated to the office for community corrections programs to cities, counties, regions, or agencies for the community corrections programs described in the plan submitted under section 8 if the plan or proposal is approved by the office.

(2) Of Except as provided under subsection (4), of the total funding recommended for the implementation of the comprehensive corrections plan, not more than 30% may be used by the city, county, or counties for administration.

(3) The money provided to a city, county, or counties under this section must not supplant current spending by the city, county, or counties for community corrections programs.

(4) Each year before the final approval of a plan under section 8, the office shall determine the exempted amount that the city, county, or counties may include in a plan that will not be subject to the limitation under subsection (2). As used in this subsection, "exempted amount" means 50% of the compensation for 1 employee in an administrative position under a plan.
