CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2019–2020 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill No. 1774
Introduced by Assembly Member Bonta

February 22, 2019

An act to amend Section 1427 of the Civil Code, relating to civil law.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1774, as introduced, Bonta. Civil law: obligations.
Existing law establishes legal obligations arising from contracts between parties or by operation of law. Under existing law, an obligation is a legal duty on a person, as specified.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to that provision.
