HELMING -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to residency requirements for clerk-treasurer or deputy clerk-treasurer in the village of Fair Haven The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3 of the public officers law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 66 to read as follows: 3 66. In the village of Fair Haven, Cayuga county, the provisions of 4 this section requiring a person to be a resident of the political subdi- 5 vision or municipal corporation of the state for which he or she shall 6 be chosen or within which his or her official functions are required to 7 be exercised, shall not prevent a person from holding the office of 8 clerk-treasurer or deputy clerk-treasurer of the village of Fair Haven, 9 provided that such person resides in the county in which such town is 10 located or an adjoining county within the state of New York. 11 § 2.
